Thredbo is a ski resort within Kosciuszko National Park in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the Alpine Way road and is 1380 metres above sea level.

Staying in Jindabyne is cheaper than staying on the snow, but you need to be prepared for an hour long “snow commute” at the beginning and end of each day.

Perisher Blue is a ski resort in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. About 6 hours south of Sydney, it also is used in summer although it is not quite as popular. Perisher Blue was originally four separate ski fields: Perisher, Smiggins Hole, Blue Cow and Guthega. It is now a single resort, sharing lift passes and are all linked through a variety of lifts. Perisher Blue comprises of 50 lifts.
